The Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) has partnered with DeFi Technologies, SovFi, and Valour Inc. to launch the Kenya Digital Exchange (KDX), a regulated platform for tokenizing real-world assets. This initiative aims to modernize Kenya’s financial market infrastructure while ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Valour’s exchange-traded products (ETPs) are nearing final approval for listing on the NSE, with a projected launch before Q3 2025. The collaboration includes ongoing consultations with Kenya’s Capital Markets Authority to ensure full regulatory alignment.

KDX will implement a multi-phase rollout featuring diversified revenue streams including trading fees, listing fees, and staking services. The platform’s development reflects growing institutional interest in blockchain-based financial solutions across emerging markets.
